Directed by Hubert Kang, our challenge was to create a manifesto video for Fairmont to show their employees across the globe. We had a limited amount of time to create the video, and the message had to be communicated to employees with different cultures, backgrounds, and languages.
Using the footage Hubert previously shot for Fairmont Hotels and Resorts, we built a new set in the ballroom of Fairmont Hotel Vancouver and used that as a point of connection to our rich bank of videos. The diverse cast features real Fairmont employee who are tasked to build a wall of photos while recalling old memories from hotels all over the world.
The video was a success, being positively received by incoming employees, who were said to be singing the Fairmont Manifesto jingle for most of the day.
