Airborne
Project Projekt by the Glenbow Museum is a public art initiative that invited Calgary artists to create bold, message-driven works aimed at inspiring community connection, hope, and dialogue during the COVID-19 pandemic.
60 pieces out of 500+ submissions were chosen to be projected onto the museum’s exterior during the Chinook Blast festival, making the exhibition accessible in a shared urban space.
Airborne illustrates the physical toll of the pandemic through a portrait of a frontline hospital worker. The red dots represent the coronavirus and how airborne it is among the white dots.
