Supporting Credit Unions and Community Financial Institutions

Bankjoy is a Y Combinator-backed fintech company offering comprehensive, white-label digital banking solutions for credit unions and community banks.

The resulting asset suite spans a fully redesigned website migrated to Webflow, comprehensive brand guidelines, Google Slides templates, social media assets, and sales enablement materials including sales sheets and whitepapers. Product owners and designers were engaged throughout to ensure tight alignment between marketing and product.

Alongside the core rebrand, a distinct identity was developed for Elevate—Bankjoy's flagship annual event that brings together existing customers to celebrate the year's milestones and preview what's ahead.

The Brief

While Bankjoy's existing brand had a strong foundation, it needed a systematic refresh to meet the demands of a growing range of digital and in-person touchpoints. The rebrand was developed in close consultation with marketing and leadership—balancing the need for evolution with a deep respect for what the co-founders had built. At its core, the updated identity stays true to Bankjoy's mission: helping people take control of their finances and live with confidence, purpose, and joy.

My Role

As Bankjoy's Senior Digital Designer, I served as the sole front-facing designer—responsible for the full scope of the company's creative output and driving collaboration across departments to ensure every asset meaningfully supported Bankjoy's sales and growth objectives.

Beyond day-to-day design, I partnered with the events manager to develop booth materials, activation assets, and event collateral, while taking on on-site photography and videography to capture live social content. I also worked closely with the product marketing and demand generation manager to produce social media campaigns, newsletters, whitepapers, and one-pagers that built brand awareness while upholding product accuracy.

The largest project during my time at Bankjoy was migrating the website from Prismic to Webflow—a move driven by the company's evolving needs. Serving as creative director, I led the project in close collaboration with Zabal Media, using it as an opportunity to refresh the brand and deliver a website that truly reflected where Bankjoy was headed.
