New Momentum, Klir Direction

Klir is a Y Combinator-backed SaaS company that helps wastewater and drinking water utilities navigate compliance with confidence across North America and Oceania. Klir has raised $29.7M in funding from investors including Y Combinator, Insight Partners, and Bowery Capital. Its unified platform consolidates permitting, sampling, and inspections into a single system—helping utilities that once managed 1,000+ permits and 300,000+ water samples a year replace disconnected systems with one source of truth.

Overview

Klir's product was revolutionizing water industry compliance management, but its brand hadn't kept pace—legacy visuals still projected a conservative, dated image misaligned with the platform's cutting-edge technology. As Brand Design Manager, I led a cross-departmental refresh spanning marketing, product design, customer support, and leadership. Through discovery sessions with each team, I mapped goals, constraints, and use cases to ensure the new identity served real organizational needs, while staying true to Klir's core mission of making water better.

The Results

The refreshed identity delivers greater clarity, energy, and focus—reflecting Klir's promise of meaningful digital transformation. During my time there, I collaborated across all departments and delivered a full website redesign (creative direction in partnership with Zabal Media), custom iconography, self-serve templates on Canva and Google Slides, social media assets, sales sheets, white papers, guides, and more. All assets were consolidated into a comprehensive brand guideline, ensuring consistency across internal and external touchpoints and giving Klir a unified, scalable identity to grow into.
